Its the most wonderful time of the year!
This year December has been very different for everyone at The Ark and we all made a huge effort to ensure that this year was as magical as any other year, Christmas arts and crafts are always lots of fun and the children in The Zone really enjoyed their ‘Design a Christmas Jumper’ competition. All of the rooms made decorations to take home and they enjoyed exploring the new art resources.
We could not believe our eyes when Santa popped in to surprise us at The Ark. Santa was very aware of all our Covid-19 prevention measures and everyone was delighted to have a socially distanced visit.
Boy, were we glad to see the back of that naughty Elf! He kept us on our toes the whole way through December, so there is no doubt that he was ready to go back to the North Pole for a rest! Until next time…
We all love to eat lots of good food at Christmas time and our children like to get involved in the whole process. Lots of baking was done in December and there was not a lot left at home time! Our cook went to a huge effort to provide the children and staff with a delicious Christmas Dinner and it was incredible – Thank you Linda.
As always the weather didn’t stop us, we wrap up warm and head outside. Fresh air is so important for children’s physical and mental health, and of course the snow always creates great excitement.
