Outdoor play is a huge part of our curriculum and we endeavour to bring all our children outside each day. The children love our loose parts and it is a pleasure to see their imagination run wild. This month we have been train drivers, sailors, carpenters, explorers and so much more. Who knows what they will think of next!
Sand play is a large part of our provision and we have been delighted to reintroduce this to our daily routine. The children had so much fun playing outside in the sand tray and the staff were delighted they didn’t have any cleaning up to do. Parents are reassured that our sand is sterilised throughout the day and is disposed of at the end of each day. Lots of hand washing also takes place before and after messy play.
The Children in The Zone are having a brilliant time with their new kitchen. We are really enjoying watching the children explore this new and improved area and will be introducing lots more household items and fresh foods to enable the children to develop their hand to eye co-ordination, independence and imaginary skills.
