Creative Crafting

We all love to get really messy at The Ark and whilst things are a bit different at the moment we still make sure we have lots of fun.  Shaving foam and paint always seem to capture the children’s attention.  Arts and crafts have a wealth of benefits regardless of age and stage of development.  These include improving co-ordination and fine motor skills, encouraging children to express themselves and also helps their social skills.  So please take the time to discuss your children’s creations and display them in your home.

Get Active

Whilst it was not the Summer Scheme we had planned, nor wanted to provide, the staff and children have made it a huge success.  We are so lucky to have lots of outdoor space and are making great use of this during the Summer.  Our older children have certainly spent a lot of time enhancing their gross motor skills, their team building abilities and most importantly having fun.

Physical fun

Our younger children are fortunate to have lots of space to undertake fun, physical play activities when indoors.  We have budding footballers, aspiring jockeys and athletes in our midst.

At one with Nature

Our vegetable garden was somewhat neglected over lockdown and were thrilled when some of our children offered to re-vamp the area.  The children relished the opportunity to plough the old garden and sow lots of new vegetables.  All of the rooms play an important role in maintaining this area and we know there will be lots of watering and weeding before we can taste our delicious home grown produce.

Thank you

We want to thank our parents for the lovely cards, gifts and kind words we have recently received.  When parents show their appreciation for the service we provide, we are always really touched.  It really is appreciated and emphasises how worthwhile our job is.
